Kuching Police Seek Public Help to Find Missing 24-Year-Old Woman


KUCHING, SARAWAK – The Kuching District Police Headquarters has issued an urgent missing person alert for a 24-year-old woman who disappeared on 25 October 2025.

The missing woman, identified as Marianna Liew Ai Jia, a Malaysian national of Chinese descent, works as a salesperson and resides at 194, Lorong 4A3, Tabuan Laru, 93350 Kuching, Sarawak.

According to the police report, Marianna left her home at around 3:30 pm on 25 October in her Nissan Grand Livina, bearing license plate QAS9590. At the time of her departure, she was wearing a white T-shirt and a black skirt.

The alert was issued by Assistant Commissioner Alexson Naga Chabu, the Kuching District Police Chief, emphasizing the need for immediate public assistance. Authorities have urged anyone with information regarding her whereabouts to contact Sub-Inspector Richard Anak Sanut at the Tabuan Jaya Police Station via 017-8505555, or reach the Kuching District Police Headquarters Control Centre at 082-244444.

Police stressed the importance of community cooperation in locating Marianna, noting that timely information could be critical for ensuring her safety. Investigators are reviewing all possible leads, including surveillance footage and witness accounts, and are working to trace her last known movements.

This announcement is part of the Royal Malaysian Police’s ongoing efforts to respond quickly in missing person cases and ensure the safety of citizens. Local authorities have asked the public to remain vigilant, especially near residential areas, public roads, and shopping districts where she might be spotted.

Members of the community are encouraged to share any tips or sightings immediately. Police assured that all information will be handled confidentially and could be instrumental in bringing Marianna safely back home.
