KUCHING – The Kuching Division is making preparations for the X-Tive Sarawak 2025 programme, which will be held in conjunction with the upcoming Borneo Games 2025, set for 24 to 28 September in Sarawak.

Planning began with the first coordination meeting for the Kuching Division-level X-Tive Sarawak 2025, convened on 15 August at the Kuching Division Resident’s Office. The meeting brought together representatives of various agencies and community organisations to outline responsibilities and ensure smooth coordination.
Deputy Resident of Kuching Division, Lim Hock Meng, highlighted that X-Tive Sarawak is part of a wider state government effort to encourage active lifestyles while running in parallel with the Borneo Games. He stressed the importance of close cooperation among stakeholders to ensure the success of the initiative.
“The Kuching Division is expected to play an important role in ensuring the success of this initiative, and this can only be achieved through a spirit of cooperation and synergy between all parties,” Lim said during the briefing.

The Kuching Division-level X-Tive Sarawak 2025 is scheduled for 13 September 2025 (Saturday) at the Satok Sports Complex, Jalan Muhibbah, Kampung Patingan. The one-day event will run from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and will showcase a variety of recreational and sporting activities.
Planned highlights include pipe dancing, tug-of-war, tai chi or aerobics sessions, and a fun run, along with other mass-participation activities aimed at promoting fitness and community bonding.
Participation is open to residents of Kuching Division aged 18 and above, provided they are medically fit for physical activities. Certified technical officers will be present to oversee the competitions, ensuring safety standards and fair play throughout.
