<strong>Ethnic Beauty Pageant to Showcase Cultural Splendor</strong>

BINTULU (June 14): The ‘Kumang Gawai Dayak Bintulu 2024’ promises an exciting evening as contestants compete for prestigious titles and substantial cash prizes. The highlight of the divisional-level Gawai Dayak celebration, this ethnic beauty pageant will see fierce competition among 10 finalists at Dinner World Restaurant tonight.

<strong>Cash Prizes Galore</strong>

  • ‘Kumang’ (Winner): RM10,000
  • First Runner-Up (‘Lulung’): RM7,000
  • Second Runner-Up (‘Selinggar Matahari’): RM5,000
  • ‘Ngepan Pemadu Manah’ Winner: RM2,000

<strong>Screening and Final Stages</strong>

The journey to crown the ‘Kumang Gawai Dayak Bintulu 2024’ began with a rigorous screening process at BDA Auditorium Wisma Bintulu, where 15 contestants displayed their talents. Tonight, the finalists will not only showcase their grace and charm but also engage in an intellectually stimulating Q&A session to demonstrate their IQ.

<strong>Organizing Committee and Support</strong>

The event is made possible by the collaboration of various organizations including the Bintulu Development Authority, Tatau District Office, Sarawak Public Communications Unit Bintulu Division (Ukas), Sarakup Indu Dayak Sarawak (SIDS) Bintulu, and SIDS Kemena.

<strong>Event Details</strong>

The dinner and crowning ceremony are expected to draw around 1,000 attendees and will be graced by the presence of Minister of Food Industry, Commodity and Regional Development Dato Sri Dr Stephen Rundi Utom.
