The event was officiated by Datuk Dr. Ripin Lamat, the Deputy Minister of Youth, Sports and Entrepreneur Development II, who is also the Lambir Assemblyman.

He clarified that the financial provision is designed to support community activities and development programmes for students and residents.

“This is an ongoing effort to assist schools and NGOs in carrying out activities that benefit the community,” he stated.

He explained that for educational institutions, the annual funding enables schools and their Parent-Teacher Associations (PTA) to collaborate on initiatives that boost student achievement and foster stronger school-parent relationships.

Datuk Dr. Ripin also voiced his expectation that the close partnership between schools, PTAs, and local communities would continue to be reinforced.

This collaboration is seen as vital for cultivating quality human capital to support future state and national development.
