The event is scheduled for 25 October 2025 at the Malaysia International Trade & Exhibition Centre (MITEC) in Kuala Lumpur, running from 7:30 PM to 11:00 PM.

The Lan Berambeh initiative is orchestrated by the Sarawak Volunteers Association. Its primary objective is to fortify connections between Sarawakians residing in Peninsular Malaysia.

Furthermore, it offers a valuable platform for the diaspora to engage directly with leaders from their home state.

Tun Pehin Sri conveyed his deep appreciation for the committee’s dedication in continuing to host the programme.

He acknowledged that the event has evolved into a potent symbol of unity for Sarawakians living away from their homeland.

The Head of State stressed the enduring importance of nurturing a sense of togetherness and state pride, particularly among the younger generation.

He emphasised that this helps them maintain a strong connection to Sarawak’s unique identity and cultural heritage, regardless of their physical location.

Both Tun Pehin Sri and Toh Puan expressed their hope that this year’s iteration of Lan Berambeh would successfully instil a stronger sense of belonging among attendees.

They also highlighted its role in reinforcing cultural identity and expanding the network of solidarity within the Sarawakian community abroad.

Events like Lan Berambeh form a critical part of the state’s broader efforts to maintain ties with its citizens working and studying in other parts of Malaysia.

Such gatherings are widely seen as vital for cultural continuity and for fostering a supportive network for Sarawakians residing in West Malaysia.
