KUCHING – The Land Development and Conservation Authority (LCDA) hosted its 2025 Appreciation Dinner to celebrate the dedication and achievements of its employees, highlighting their crucial role in driving the organisation’s success.
Datu Sr. Zaidi Mahdi, LCDA General Manager, said the event was organised to recognise staff professionalism and contributions across various fields, including sports. He praised employees for their strong commitment and high standards in fulfilling daily responsibilities.
“All this shows the spirit of LCDA unity and to those who work hard, play hard and all with a family spirit. We play hard, We work harder,” he remarked.
The evening saw multiple awards presented to honour staff excellence. A total of 18 employees received the Excellent Service Award, while 79 staff members were recognised with the Loyal Service Award.
In addition, nine retirees were presented with the Special Appreciation Award, and 17 students were honoured with the Excellent Children of LCDA Employees Award.
The event also included the postponement announcement of the 2025 LCDA Datu GM Cup Sports Carnival and the official launch of the logo for LCDA’s upcoming 45th Anniversary Celebration, scheduled for 2026.
Zaidi highlighted that the appreciation dinner reflects LCDA’s commitment to fostering unity and a family spirit within the organisation.
He noted that recognising staff achievements not only motivates employees but also strengthens the organisation’s culture of excellence.
The celebration underscored LCDA’s broader mission of supporting employee welfare and encouraging balanced participation in both professional and extracurricular activities.
