Len Talif Salleh Hosts Sarawak Aidilfitri Reception

KUCHING – The Aidilfitri Reception Ceremony for 1447H/2026M was hosted at the residence of Len Talif Salleh, Sarawak Deputy Minister for Urban Planning, Land Administration and Environment, on Sunday.

The gathering was described as modest yet filled with enthusiasm, reflecting the spirit of unity and togetherness in Sarawak.

The event was attended by several prominent figures, including Deputy Premier of Sarawak YB Datuk Amar Prof Dr Sim Kui Hian and his wife Datin Amar, Speaker of the Sarawak State Legislative Assembly YB Tan Sri Datuk Amar Mohamad Asfia bin Awang Nassar and his wife Datin Amar, as well as YB Dato Sri Karim Rahman Hamzah and his wife Datin Sri.

Also present were YB Datuk Amar Haji Mohamad Abu Bakar bin Marzuki, Secretary to the Sarawak Government, and Dato Sri Saferi Ali, the State Attorney General.

Other distinguished guests included YB Dato Sri Huang Tiong Sii, YB Datuk Dr Haji Abdul Rahman Junaidi and his wife, YB Datuk Snowdan Lawan and his wife, and YB Datuk Sebastian Ting. The Mayor of DBKU also attended, alongside family members and friends.

Relatives, community members, and media representatives added to the lively atmosphere, making the reception a meaningful occasion. Guests enjoyed the warm hospitality and festive spirit, which highlighted Sarawak’s tradition of celebrating Aidilfitri in harmony.

In his remarks, Len Talif Salleh expressed gratitude for the presence of leaders, relatives, and friends. He emphasised that the celebration demonstrated the beauty of unity in Sarawak, where people gather to share joy in a harmonious environment. He also extended apologies for any shortcomings in hospitality during the event.

The minister concluded with prayers for continued health and opportunities to celebrate Aidilfitri in the years ahead. “May we continue to be given health and the opportunity to celebrate Aidil Fitri in the coming years. Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri, Maaf Zahir dan Batin,” he said.

The reception underscored the importance of Aidilfitri as a time for reconciliation, gratitude, and strengthening bonds among Sarawakians.
