SIBU – The Lifelong Learning Programme introduced through the Effective Organisation Management Course is shaping change within the Dudong State Legislative Assembly community, building a more competitive and efficient grassroots network.
Jamil Julaihi, Assistant Head of the Dudong PBB Branch, said shifting mindsets and strengthening knowledge form the foundation of transparent and systematic governance.
Empowering local organisations with solid management skills, he noted, helps move Dudong towards becoming a more developed and self-sustaining community.
“Today’s course is only the beginning. There is still much knowledge to explore. Strategic planning will continue with the college to ensure our human capital transformation agenda is achieved,” he said.
He represented Bustari Yusuf, Head of the Dudong PBB Branch, at the closing ceremony held at Sarikei Community College Sibu Branch.
The programme was jointly organised by the PBB Dudong Branch and the college. Committee members, youth, women and grassroots leaders took part, focusing on documentation management, financial administration and organisational governance.
The initiative supports Sarawak’s wider push for human capital development, in line with the state’s goal of building a skilled and adaptable workforce. Lifelong learning strengthens organisations while encouraging personal growth and accountability.
The collaboration between political leaders and an educational institution highlights the value of structured training in community development.
By equipping participants with practical tools, the programme aims to improve transparency, strengthen governance and raise overall efficiency at the grassroots level.
Dudong’s involvement in the Lifelong Learning Programme signals a clear commitment to growth through education and skill-building.
With continued backing from both government and academic partners, the effort is set to contribute to the constituency’s long-term progress.
