LUNDU: Member of the Sarawak State Assembly (ADUN) for Opar, Billy Sujang, received a courtesy call from the newly appointed Lundu District Police Chief, Superintendent Sudirman Kram, on Thursday.

The meeting, held at the Opar DUN Service Centre, was also attended by several senior officers from the Lundu District Police Headquarters (IPD). It aimed to strengthen strategic cooperation between the Royal Malaysia Police and the elected representative in maintaining safety and public order in the Lundu area.

During the session, both parties exchanged views on several ongoing concerns in the Opar region, including recent developments in Lundu, border security issues, criminal activities, and rising drug abuse. These challenges, they agreed, require coordinated and proactive measures.

Billy Sujang expressed his gratitude to the police force for their continued efforts and dedication in maintaining peace and safety in the area. He also reaffirmed his commitment to work closely with the district police to ensure the well-being of the local community.
