Melaka Governor Attends Launch of Asian Bodybuilding Championship Countdown

SERDANG – The Yang di-Pertua Negeri Melaka, TYT Tun Seri Setia Dr Haji Mohd Ali bin Mohd Rustam, attended the opening ceremony marking the 100-day countdown to the 58th Asian Bodybuilding and Physique Sports Championship 2026.

The event was held at the Palace of the Golden Horses Hotel, Seri Kembangan, Selangor, on 27 April 2026.

His arrival was warmly received by YM Raja Lokman bin Raja Ahmad, Chairman of the Organising Committee and Deputy President of the Malaysian Bodybuilding Association (MBBF).

Also present were YBhg Dato Sri Ahmad Nazri bin Haji Kamil, championship advisor; YBhg Datuk Paul Chua, president of the World Bodybuilding & Physique Sport Federation (WBPF); and YBhg Tan Sri Lee Kim Yew, founder of the Palace of the Golden Horses Hotel and Mines Resort City.

The ceremony marked the official countdown to the prestigious championship, which will gather top athletes from across Asia to compete in bodybuilding and physique sports.
