BINTANGOR – The Meradong District Education Office (PPD), through its Special Education Unit and in collaboration with the Integrated Special Education Programme (PPKI) of SMK Bandar Bintangor, organised the 2026 Special Education Day celebration at Dewan Seri Wawasan on 29 April.
The event, held at the district level, aimed to raise awareness about inclusive education and highlight the importance of recognising students with special educational needs (SED).
Organisers emphasised that the programme provided a platform to showcase the talents, creativity and abilities of special education students while also strengthening ties between schools, parents and the wider community.
The celebration featured exhibitions of student work and performances that reflected the unique skills of PPKI students.
The lively atmosphere demonstrated the enthusiasm and commitment of teachers, families and community members in supporting the development of special education in Meradong.
