MIRI – Miri has been selected as the host city for the Mrs Elegance International World 2025, a prestigious global beauty and empowerment pageant celebrating the elegance and achievements of modern women.
The announcement was made during a special media conference at Miri City Hall on Tuesday, officiated by Miri Mayor and Pujut State Assemblyman, Adam Yii Siew Sang, alongside the Chairperson of the competition’s organising committee, Sabrina Chang.
“This pageant is not just a beauty contest — it is a platform that honours the grace, intellect, and diverse contributions of women as mothers, professionals, entrepreneurs, and leaders,” Adam Yii said.
He added that hosting the event will significantly enhance Miri’s profile as a progressive and inclusive city, rich in cultural diversity and natural beauty.
“Delegates and guests from across the globe will discover the uniqueness of Miri — from world-renowned diving sites and lush national parks to our multi-ethnic cuisine and the hospitality of our people,” he said.
The grand final of Mrs Elegance International World 2025 will be held on October 4, 2025, at the Eastwood Valley Golf & Country Club, drawing contestants and audiences from various countries.
The international exposure is expected to provide a positive boost to Miri’s tourism sector, stimulate the local economy, and promote cultural exchange, according to the mayor.
He also praised the organisers and participants for their commitment to empowering women and fostering global unity through such high-impact events.
The event is set to be one of the highlights of Miri’s tourism and social calendar for 2025.
