MP Hanifah Hajar Taib Gives Aid to Selangau Fire Victims

SELANGAU, 24 February 2025 – Deputy Minister of Economy and Member of Parliament for P213 Mukah, YB Dato Hajjah Hanifah Hajar Taib, has stepped forward to help four families from the Radin Nyawai Longhouse in Jalan Bukut, Selangau, who lost their homes in a devastating fire last week.

As an immediate relief effort, YB Hanifah Hajar Taib directed her officers at the P213 Mukah Service Centre to distribute essential supplies worth RM500 and cash assistance of RM1,000 to each affected Head of Household (KIR).

She expressed her hopes that this contribution would help ease the burden of the victims as they rebuild their lives. She also urged the public and private sectors to step forward and extend their support to those in need.

No Casualties, But Heavy Losses

According to reports, no injuries or fatalities were recorded in the fire. However, the affected families suffered significant property damage, including the total loss of their homes and belongings.
