DESA ILMU – The Kota Samarahan Municipal Council (MPKS) has ordered the removal of illegal trees and plants in open spaces around Desa Ilmu, following complaints and routine inspections. The initiative aims to preserve the area’s beauty, safety, and cleanliness.
MPKS clarified that all open spaces are Council-owned and cannot be used for planting or modifications without official approval. This enforcement ensures that urban landscaping is carried out in an orderly and sustainable manner.
The Council noted that unauthorised planting can disrupt planned landscaping and create safety and maintenance challenges.
By removing these plants, MPKS seeks to maintain a well-managed and harmonious environment for the community.
Residents are encouraged to follow regulations and refrain from planting trees or plants in Council-owned areas without written permission.
MPKS expressed appreciation for community support in keeping urban spaces clean, attractive, and sustainable.
This effort reflects MPKS’s proactive approach to urban management and its commitment to safeguarding public spaces for the benefit of all.
