KOTA SAMARAHAN – The Kota Samarahan Municipal Council (MPKS) conducted a courtesy visit to the Samarahan District Education Office (PPD Samarahan) on 27 February 2026, aiming to reinforce collaboration in education and community development.
The delegation was led by Kr. Abang Ismawi bin Abang Ali, Chairman of MPKS, accompanied by the Deputy Chairman, the Municipal Secretary, council members, and division heads.
The meeting focused on strengthening ties between local government and the education sector, with particular emphasis on sustainability and child-friendly initiatives.
One of the key discussions centred on the upcoming MPKS Level School Recycling Competition. The programme seeks to encourage schools to adopt environmentally sustainable practices, instilling awareness among students and staff about the importance of recycling.
MPKS highlighted the need for active participation from schools, with PPD Samarahan expected to play a pivotal role in ensuring widespread involvement.
