PADAWAN – The Padawan Municipal Council (MPP) has launched its 2026 Assessment Tax Collection Mobile Counter to make it easier for residents to settle their tax obligations.
The mobile counter will be available on 24 January 2026 (Saturday) from 7.00 am to 12.00 pm noon at the Kampung Haji Baki Multipurpose Hall.
Residents are advised to bring their 2026 Assessment Tax details along with any outstanding arrears to the officer on duty at the mobile counter. Payments and inquiries can also be handled directly at the MPP office.
This initiative aims to improve convenience for local communities, especially those in rural and suburban areas who would otherwise have to travel to the council headquarters. It also reflects MPP’s commitment to enhancing community services and ensuring compliance with local tax regulations.
Assessment Tax is an important revenue source for the council, funding essential services such as waste management, road maintenance, public facilities, and community development projects. Timely payment directly supports the upkeep and improvement of local surroundings.
MPP reminded residents that paying on time helps avoid penalties and ensures smoother municipal service administration. The council encourages the public to take advantage of the mobile counter, designed to make the process more convenient and accessible.
