KUCHING – The Padawan Municipal Council (MPP) has intensified road repair works across its jurisdiction following public complaints about potholes and damaged surfaces, particularly during the ongoing rainy and flood season.
Heavy rainfall and flash floods have accelerated deterioration of road conditions, creating potential hazards for motorists.
In response, MPP has deployed maintenance teams to carry out patching and repair works at affected sites, ensuring safer driving conditions for the public.
The council explained that while immediate patching is being conducted to reduce risks, longer-term solutions are also being assessed to provide more durable improvements. These measures are part of MPP’s broader commitment to public safety and infrastructure upkeep.
On 3 January 2026 (Saturday), MPP confirmed that its teams were actively engaged in progressive repair works, targeting roads most affected by weather-related damage.
