BALINGIAN – The Mukah District Level Maulidur Rasul 1447H/2025M celebration served as a platform to reinforce commitments toward building a progressive, united, and prosperous Muslim society.
Held under the national theme “Ummah Maju Makmur,” the event emphasized holistic development encompassing economic, technological, and moral advancement.
Balingian State Assemblyman Abdul Yakub Arbi officiated the ceremony at the Balingian Community Hall on Friday, highlighting that the observance extends beyond commemorating the birth of Prophet Muhammad (SAW).
He urged the community to embrace knowledge, economic strength, technological mastery, and healthy competitiveness while embodying Islamic values such as trustworthiness (amanah), truthfulness (siddiq), communication (tabligh), and wisdom (fatanah) in daily life.
“Prosperity is multidimensional it includes spiritual well-being, family stability, social unity, and national security,” he stated, aligning with the Sarawak government’s vision for balanced growth.
The event featured a banner and parade competition with categories for government agencies, mosques, and schools.
The Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) Mukah won the government category, Surau Ibn Khaldun from UiTM Mukah topped the mosque category, and Sekolah Kebangsaan Kuala Balingian led the school category.
Local officials and community leaders attended, reinforcing the celebration’s role in promoting unity and moral fortitude.
