MUKAH – SMK Three Rivers Mukah has demonstrated a consistent upward trajectory in its academic performance over the past three years.
Internal assessments and trial examinations reveal a significant rise in the overall pass rate, climbing from 54 percent to 68 percent.
The school’s Grade Point Average (GPA) has also seen marked progress, improving from 6.77 to 6.06 this year.
Principal Donny Dahlan attributed this success to the effective partnership between educators, parents, and students, bolstered by the Sarawak Enhancement Education (SEED) programme.
He detailed that more than RM35,000 was invested this year in targeted intervention initiatives. These included extra classes, motivational workshops, and seminars focused on examination techniques, funded with support from the local assemblyman and the Parent-Teacher Association (PIBG).
The institution is now targeting an ambitious GPA of 4.50 and a 98.65 percent pass rate for the forthcoming Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) examination.
Further reinforcing this positive trend, student attendance has increased to 95 per cent, up from 93 per cent the previous year.
During a recent ceremony, student Daphne Ong Yu Qi of class 5G was honoured with the Tom Bazeley Award 2025 for her exemplary all-round achievements.
The event was attended by Tellian Assemblyman Royston Valentine and other local education officials.
