Police Arrest Suspect in Brutal Murder of 3-Year-Old Girl in Santubong

KUCHING — Police have arrested a 32-year-old local man in connection with the death of a three-year-old girl in Kampung Rampangi, Santubong, in a case that has sent shockwaves through the community.

Kuching District Police Chief ACP Alexson Naga Chabu confirmed the arrest, saying that police received a report on October 8 from a 52-year-old local man who reported that his young daughter had died the night before, around 9.45pm.

Preliminary investigations revealed signs suggesting that the victim had suffered severe abuse leading to her death. Following swift action, a police team from the Criminal Investigation Division of the Kuching District Police Headquarters tracked down and detained a suspect in Kampung Krian, Jalan Padawan, on October 9 at about 11.00am.

ACP Alexson also reminded the public to avoid spreading false or speculative information about the case, as doing so could hinder the investigation process.
