JPJ Bintulu Launches Operation Gempur, 114 Vehicles Checked for Road Safety

BINTULU, 23 November 2025 (Sunday) – The Road Transport Department (JPJ) Bintulu Branch conducted Operation Gempur, a targeted road enforcement initiative across several main routes in Bintulu, aimed at ensuring full compliance with road laws and promoting public safety.

Led by Tuan Mohd Amiruddin bin Djahila and assisted by six officers from JPJ Bintulu, the operation focused on monitoring both private and commercial vehicles along high-traffic roads. The patrols were carried out on key routes, including:

  • Jalan Pan Borneo Bintulu–Miri
  • Jalan Pesisir Pantai
  • Jalan Tanjung Batu
  • Jalan Kidurong
  • Jalan Jepak
  • Jalan Kemena

During the operation, 114 vehicles were inspected. Authorities detected various offences, ranging from driving without a valid license, missing vocational licenses (GDL/PSV), carrying dangerous loads, to other technical violations that could compromise the safety of drivers and other road users.

JPJ Sarawak emphasized that all enforcement actions are conducted firmly, transparently, and continuously, reflecting the department’s commitment to preserving road safety and public welfare.

Road safety is a shared responsibility,” Tuan Mohd Amiruddin reminded the public, urging all road users to adhere strictly to traffic regulations to prevent accidents and ensure safer travel for everyone.

This operation is part of JPJ Sarawak’s ongoing efforts to maintain high standards of compliance on state roads, particularly during peak travel periods, and to reinforce the importance of responsible driving habits among the community.
