The police chief also revealed that the suspect’s face was clearly captured by the store’s closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras. Authorities have identified the perpetrator as a 31-year-old local man and are actively tracking him.

The case is being investigated under Section 392 of the Penal Code, which deals with robbery and carries a penalty of imprisonment and fines upon conviction.

ACP Alexson urged members of the public who may have information about the case to come forward. “Anyone with relevant details is encouraged to contact the Miri police at 085-433730,” he said.
