Petra Jaya Lip Lap 2025 Empowers Youth Through Fun, Inclusive Activities

KUCHING – The Petra Jaya Lip Lap 2025 event, held at the Sarawak State Youth and Sports Complex, successfully blended entertainment with meaningful youth empowerment, drawing enthusiastic participation from the local community.

The program offered a dynamic platform for young people to explore and exhibit their talents across leadership, digital innovation, entrepreneurship, and volunteerism.

Councillor Mohd Syafiq Mohammad Razali, Special Officer to the Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia, officiated the event, highlighting the crucial role of youth as economic catalysts rather than mere future leaders.

He stressed the importance of creating avenues for them to build confidence, refine skills, and unlock their full potential in a supportive environment.

Organized by the Kuching City Caring Youth Club (KEPRI), the event featured a diverse lineup including the KEPRI Grandmaster Cup, a vibrant Car Autoshow, a People’s Sports Competition, and nostalgic 2000s Karaoke.

A Children’s Fashion Show and Colouring Competition added family-friendly appeal, while the Jualan Rahmah provided affordable goods to attendees.

A standout initiative was the #SayingNoToBully Doodling Campaign, which actively promoted kindness and mutual respect among youth, aiming to curb bullying culture. This aligns with broader national efforts to foster safer, more inclusive spaces for young people.

Building on past successes like the Youth Community Legacy Camp, KEPRI aims to make Petra Jaya Lip Lap an eagerly anticipated annual tradition, one that harmonizes community spirit, youth development, and wholesome entertainment for all ages.
