PM Anwar Urges Youth to Uphold Values for Malaysia’s Future

Addressing the crowd, Anwar emphasised that national progress should not be measured solely by physical development, technological innovation or artificial intelligence.

He stressed that the true foundation of Malaysia’s advancement lies in nurturing values, morals, critical thinking and compassion, which form the essence of the MADANI Malaysia framework.

“Young people must be given space to lead, work, play sports, serve the community and contribute ideas for the progress of the country,” he said, highlighting the importance of empowering youth in all aspects of society.

The Prime Minister underscored that Malaysia’s future will not be shaped by divisive politics or racial sentiments but by a generation that embraces diversity as a source of strength.

He expressed confidence that with knowledge, discipline, confidence and determination, young Malaysians can elevate the nation’s dignity and ensure peace, unity and respect on the global stage.

The MADANI Youth Gathering served as a platform to reinforce the government’s commitment to fostering inclusivity and civic responsibility among the younger generation.

Anwar’s remarks echoed broader national priorities of building resilience, encouraging leadership and promoting harmony across communities.

Observers noted that the event reflected the administration’s focus on youth empowerment, aligning with ongoing initiatives to strengthen education, community engagement and opportunities for young leaders.

The Prime Minister’s call for values-based development resonated strongly with attendees, many of whom see themselves as active contributors to Malaysia’s future.

As Malaysia continues to navigate rapid technological and economic changes, Anwar’s speech highlighted the balance between modernisation and moral grounding.

His message reinforced the idea that sustainable progress requires not only infrastructure and innovation, but also a society rooted in kindness, respect and shared responsibility.
