INANAM – Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has underscored the pivotal role of young people in shaping Sabah’s future, urging voters to support candidates who prioritise real change and inclusive development.
During an engagement with youth in Inanam, Anwar delivered a strong message that Sabah must rise as a successful, dignified, and forward-looking state.
He emphasised that the strength, courage, and aspirations of the younger generation will determine the state’s trajectory in the years ahead.
The Prime Minister highlighted that Budget 2026 has been designed to open wide opportunities for Sabah’s youth.
Key initiatives include job creation, skills training, entrepreneurship support, and the strengthening of the digital ecosystem.
He also pointed to investments in innovation and Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) as critical bridges to a brighter and more inclusive future.
“We do not want rhetorical politics without results, but rather real change, policies that truly touch the lives of the people, and development that is felt by every family in Sabah,” Anwar said.
He added that the government’s focus is on ensuring that every household experiences tangible benefits from national progress.
The Prime Minister stressed that the enthusiasm and fighting spirit of Sabah’s youth will be central to building a prosperous, competitive, and respected state.
He urged voters to give Pakatan Harapan candidates the opportunity to work together in creating a more just and progressive Sabah.
Observers note that Anwar’s remarks align with the broader MADANI Government framework, which emphasises sustainable development, social justice, and equitable distribution of resources.
The focus on youth empowerment is seen as a strategic move to ensure long-term resilience and competitiveness for Sabah.
As campaigning intensifies ahead of the state election, Anwar’s message in Inanam reflects a wider theme in Sabah politics: the need for policies that deliver practical outcomes and empower communities.
His call for unity and progress highlights the government’s commitment to ensuring that young people are not only heard but actively supported in shaping the state’s future.
