KUCHING – Members of the Sarawak Federal Secretary’s Office (PSUPS) joined the Prime Minister’s monthly meeting with the Ministry of Natural Resources and Natural Sustainability (NRES) via teleconference on 4 May 2026. The session was held at the Auditorium, Level 17, Sultan Iskandar Building.
In his address, the Prime Minister emphasised that the strength of the public service lies in effective monitoring and consistent policy implementation.
He noted that government initiatives must deliver tangible results to the people, warning that any perception of weakness or inefficiency could undermine confidence in public administration.
The Prime Minister highlighted that policies should not only be well-designed but also executed with precision to ensure their impact is felt across communities.
He explained that strong monitoring mechanisms are essential to track progress, identify gaps, and ensure accountability in service delivery.
“This approach is important to ward off the perception of weakness and inefficiency in the implementation of government policy,” he said, stressing the need for continuous improvement in governance.
The message delivered during the meeting was intended to inspire civil servants to remain committed despite facing current challenges.
The Prime Minister urged all members of the public service to work diligently in delivering the best outcomes for citizens, reinforcing the importance of resilience and adaptability in today’s fast-changing environment.
