As part of their standard operating procedures, the officers noticed a vehicle parked at the side of the road and proceeded to inspect the situation to ensure there were no suspicious activities or safety risks involved.

Upon checking, the officers found that the driver was dealing with a flat tyre and did not have the necessary tools or equipment to carry out the repair. The situation posed a potential hazard, especially with passing vehicles along the road, which could increase the risk of an accident.

Recognising the urgency and prioritising public safety, the MPV personnel immediately stepped in to assist. The officers worked together to replace the damaged tyre, allowing the driver to continue the journey without further delay. Their swift action helped to prevent any possible danger at the scene and ensured that traffic flow in the area remained smooth.

According to the police, such assistance reflects their ongoing commitment not only to maintaining law and order but also to serving the community in practical ways. While crime prevention remains a core responsibility, officers on patrol are also prepared to respond to everyday challenges faced by the public.

Members of the public who witnessed the incident expressed appreciation for the officers’ readiness to help, noting that their presence provided reassurance and a sense of safety. Acts like this reinforce the role of the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) as both protectors and helpers within the community.

The Bau IPD continues to encourage road users to ensure their vehicles are in good condition before travelling and to carry basic tools for emergencies. At the same time, the police remain committed to being present on the ground, offering assistance whenever needed.

In conclusion, the incident serves as a reminder that policing goes beyond enforcement. It is also about building trust, offering help in times of need, and ensuring the well-being of the community at all times.
