In a statement shared on social media today, IPD Kota Samarahan identified the first victim as Kong Sien Ming, a 50-year-old salon owner in Bandar Riyal, Kota Samarahan. His body has been transferred to the Sarawak General Hospital (SGH) mortuary for further procedures.

The second victim, Berona Bill, was a resident of the Desa Bina Diri homeless shelter in Kota Samarahan. His passing was confirmed by an assistant medical officer from SGH, and his body has also been taken to the SGH mortuary.

Authorities are currently making efforts to locate the victims’ families.
