LUBOK ANTU – The Malaysian Civil Defence Force (APM) in Lubok Antu District has received a donation of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to support its operational readiness, alongside financial contributions to enhance staff welfare.

On 25 March 2026, Associate Major (PA) Albert Yew visited the Lubok Antu District Operations Control Centre (PKOD) to deliver the PPE, which will be used by frontline personnel during emergency operations.

The Lubok Antu Civil Defence Force expressed deep gratitude for the contributions, noting that such support reflects genuine concern for the wellbeing of its staff.

Officials highlighted the importance of community and individual involvement in reinforcing the capacity of emergency services.

The PPE donation comes at a time when preparedness remains a priority for agencies across Sarawak. With unpredictable weather patterns and recurring natural hazards, protective equipment is vital to ensure the safety of responders during operations.

Civil Defence officers emphasised that contributions like these not only provide practical resources but also boost morale among personnel who often face challenging conditions.

The recognition of their efforts helps sustain motivation and reinforces their commitment to public service.

The visit concluded with APM Lubok Antu reaffirming its motto: “Protecting Together – Ready to Help!” The agency pledged to continue safeguarding communities and to remain prepared for emergencies across the district.

This initiative underscores the value of collaboration between individuals and institutions in strengthening disaster response capabilities. By supporting frontline staff, donors contribute directly to the resilience and safety of local communities.
