PUTRAJAYA – Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has called on civil servants to remain steadfast in preserving national unity and solidarity, stressing that the journey of building a strong nation is never without challenges.
Speaking at the 2025 National Development Symposium and Awards, Anwar reminded attendees that the stability and harmony enjoyed today must be defended with full commitment, responsibility, and sincerity.
He cautioned against complacency, urging all levels of government to safeguard the achievements made through collective effort.
“The journey of building a great nation is not an easy one. Challenges and tests will always come one after another – that is the nature of the struggle in the effort to develop the nation and the country,” he said.
The Prime Minister emphasised that civil servants play a crucial role in ensuring the country’s progress. He urged them to continuously improve the quality of service, avoid being satisfied with past achievements, and uphold values of trust, integrity, and dedication in every task.
“My message is, never destroy what we have built together because the stability and harmony that we enjoy today will only last if we continue to defend it,” he added.
Anwar highlighted that the strength of Malaysia lies not only in its economic performance but also in the unity of its people and the integrity of its institutions.
He reiterated that civil servants must remain vigilant and proactive in addressing challenges, ensuring that the nation’s development is sustained for future generations.
The symposium, which recognised contributions to national development, served as a platform for reinforcing the importance of collective responsibility in advancing Malaysia’s aspirations under the MADANI Economy framework.
