The visit aimed to assess the implementation progress and socio-economic impact of PROSPEK, which is scheduled for completion by the end of 2025.

“Through this visit, we can see for ourselves how the efforts since 2020 are now bearing fruit,” said Dato Sri Rohani. “There has been a noticeable improvement in the production and marketing of local products, such as seafood and traditional crafts.”

The working visit began with a briefing session at Kingwood Hotel, Mukah, involving the Sarawak Land Development Board (LKTS) and the Matu District Office, followed by field visits to Kampung Loba Balu, Kampung Kuala Matu, and Kampung Treng Matu — all sites where PROSPEK projects are being implemented.

Among the highlighted products under development are:

The PROSPEK initiative provides vital infrastructure, equipment, and marketing support to empower local entrepreneurs and promote village-based economic activities.

Dato Sri Rohani also expressed gratitude to the implementing agencies and community members for their commitment and urged continued momentum in driving rural development.
