RM3 Million Allocation for Rural Transformation

SIMUNJAN: A significant development is underway in the Simunjan constituency with an approved allocation of RM3 million aimed at building lanes for villages in Zone 3 of Sungai Apin. This funding is part of the Rural Transformation Project (RTP) 2022 special project allocation, applied for and secured by Simunjan assemblyman Awla Dris. The approval was granted by Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg.

Technical Inspections and Community Engagement

During a site visit today, Awla Dris emphasized the importance of the technical inspections, evaluations, and meetings with community leaders in the relevant villages. The goal is to ensure that the project aligns with the specific needs of the villagers.

“The purpose of the work visit to the proposed RTP special project sites today is to carry out technical inspections, evaluations, and meetings with community leaders in the relevant villages so that the project is implemented according to the needs of the villagers,” Awla stated.

Gratitude to the Sarawak Government

Awla Dris expressed his gratitude to the Sarawak government for approving the allocation, highlighting the state’s commitment to improving infrastructure in rural areas.

“I hope that this project can be implemented soon to provide comfort and convenience to the villagers in the area,” he added.

School Visit Highlights Progress

In addition to inspecting the proposed project sites, Awla Dris visited SK Tanjung Pisang/Selangking, a school that is nearing completion. This visit underscores the broader focus on improving infrastructure and educational facilities within the constituency.
