RTP 2026 Site Visit in Dalat Focuses on Pedestrian Upgrade

DALAT – A site inspection for the RTP 2026 was held on 5 February at 10.30am in Ulu Baoh, Dalat District to see the developments for the upgrade project of pedestrian space in front of Rh. Monica anak Usah.

The walkway that is located in Mukah Division under the constituency of DUN N.57 Tellian had been proposed to upgrade to provide a better pedestrian way of life for the local residents.

The effort is evidence of the government’s commitment to improving infrastructure in rural areas, making those spaces safer and more accessible for everyday use.

It was also witnessed by N57 Tellian Service Centre leaders led by Cr Boniface Kwin and Stephenson Changgai, Ulu Baoh PBB Branch secretary.

JKR Mukah, the implementing agency, and its officers were also present to update and give technical input on how the project worked.

The village leaders took a particular importance to the session, where the Tuai Rumah and JKKK Committee members Rh. Monica joining the discussions.

Their participation demonstrates that the local communities must be involved in development initiatives so that their concerns and point of view will be considered.

The pedestrian-area-improvement project aims to help residential roads become even safer and more convenient, especially in larger roadways areas with moderate amounts of pedestrian traffic.

Through improving access, the project contributes to overall rural development and social and economic progress in Dalat District.

RTP 2026 The RTP 2026 programme, which remains instrumental in facilitating infrastructure development across Sarawak, will see further such projects implemented that reflect the state’s ongoing commitment to balanced urban and rural advancements.
