SADA-UKAS Establishes Cooperation with Erat, Sri Aman Division Development

SADA-UKAS Establishes Cooperation with Erat, Sri Aman Division Development

KUCHING: Sarawak Public Communication Unit (UKAS) plays an important role in helping to disseminate and promote all development plans and programmes implemented by Sri Aman Development Agency (SADA).

It was explained by the Chairman of SADA, Dato Sri Rohani Karim, while expressing hope that this collaboration will continue into the future.

UKAS, as a state government-owned media agency, is expected to help popularise events held in Sri Aman, such as the Benak Festival, to gain wider visibility.

She made the statement after attending the Juh Randau interview programme organised by UKAS titled “Tracing the Role of SADA in Transforming the Development of Sri Aman” at the Baitulmakmur Building on Tuesday.

Also participating in the session was the Acting Resident of Sri Aman Division, Mahra Salleh.

Dato Sri Rohani added that the session would indirectly help promote the name and role of SADA among the community, as well as to agencies within and outside Sarawak.

She also thanked the Director of UKAS Sarawak, Awang Putrayusrie Awang Redzuan, for inviting SADA to the session.

During the interview, Mahra, who is also a member of the SADA Steering Committee, affirmed continued support for development in Sri Aman under SADA’s supervision for rapid regional progress.

According to him, development planning in Sri Aman is guided by the Sri Aman Masterplan 2020–2030 and SADA Development Plan 2021–2030, in addition to aligning with the Post-COVID-19 Development Strategy (PCDS) 2030.

Also present were SADA Special Administrative Officer Alfred Geling Ason; Chief Assistant Director of UKAS Monitoring and Society Development Section, Anwar Hanafi Ardimansyah; UKAS Sri Aman Division Officer, Zaidil Ripin; UKAS officers and members of the SADA secretariat.
