KUCHING – The Santai N9 Padungan Programme, organised by the Kampung Lumba Kuda Recreation Club, has been praised for fostering unity and strengthening relationships among members of the Sarawak United Bumiputera Party (PBB) and the wider community.
Batang Sadong Member of Parliament and Head of the PBB Padungan Branch, Rodiyah Sapiee, officiated the event on Saturday, highlighting its role in nurturing togetherness within the PBB and Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) family.
“Today is not only a day to play sports, but a day for us to strengthen our relationships, strengthen togetherness and strengthen our spirit as a ‘small’ PBB and Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) family in the Padungan Branch,” she said.
The programme featured a variety of activities, including sports, barbecues, and lucky draws, all designed to encourage healthy lifestyles while reinforcing friendships and cooperation among participants.
Rodiyah emphasised that such gatherings provide opportunities to share views, build brotherhood, and enhance the spirit of belonging within the party.
She called on members to take advantage of the event to deepen cooperation and maintain unity, noting that strong relationships are essential for sustaining the party’s strength and community engagement.
The event was attended by several key figures from the PBB Padungan Branch, including Deputy Head Ir Haidel Heli, Vice Head Mohd Speri Abdul Karim, Branch Secretary Hossen Rail, Branch Women Head Hairiah Ideris, Branch Youth Head and Recreation Club Chairman Mohd Rassid Hamdan, and Branch Youth Head Azrina Hassan.
The Santai N9 Padungan Programme reflects the importance of grassroots initiatives in strengthening party unity and community ties, while also promoting health and recreation among members.
