KUCHING – On 5 February 2026, Sarawak State Civil Defence Director YS PPj. (PA) Mohtar Bin Samat visited the Sarawak State Civil Defence Centre (PUSPA) for a meeting with staff and members.
He was warmly received by Capt. (PA) Hasrol Bin Awi, Head of the Sarawak State Training Branch, along with PUSPA members.
The meeting provided an opportunity to strengthen ties between leadership and staff, while reaffirming the department’s commitment to delivering excellent service.
During his address, Mohtar Bin Samat motivated staff to uphold integrity, discipline, and professionalism in their duties.
He emphasised teamwork and dedication, encouraging members to be proactive in enhancing the quality of public service.
His message aimed to boost morale and ensure that the Civil Defence Department continues to project a strong, positive image.
He highlighted that the department’s role extends beyond emergency response to include community engagement and fostering public trust.
