Datuk Amar Awang Tengah, who also serves as Sarawak’s Minister for International Trade, Industry and Investment, was joined by senior officials and business representatives from the state. The delegation participated in a productive dialogue session with Indonesian counterparts, focusing on strategic sectors such as infrastructure, trade, and private-sector collaboration.

One of the key moments of the visit was a symbolic tree planting ceremony at Plaza Bhineka. Datuk Amar Awang Tengah planted a commemorative tree to signify the strengthening of relations and long-term commitment between Sarawak and Nusantara.

The Sarawak delegation also toured major infrastructural and administrative developments, including the new government precincts, the PSSI Training Centre, and recently completed healthcare facilities. These visits allowed the delegation to witness the scope of development underway in Nusantara and identify potential areas for investment and cooperation.

This initiative reflects Sarawak’s proactive stance in expanding its economic presence in Indonesia and aligns with its broader vision of engaging with emerging regional economic hubs. The state continues to position itself as a key player in fostering cross-border partnerships and sustainable growth within ASEAN.
