KUCHING – The Yang di-Pertua Negeri Sarawak, Tun Pehin Sri Dr. Haji Wan Junaidi bin Tuanku Jaafar, and his wife, Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah binti Mohd Sanusi, marked their third wedding anniversary with a private family gathering in the city centre on Thursday evening.
The ceremony, held at a local hotel, was conducted in a warm and family-oriented atmosphere. The couple was joined by their daughters, Sharifah Fariah and her husband Encik Mohammad Syukri, as well as Sharifah Nong-Jasima and her husband Encik Muhammad Nur Hakeem.
The evening began with the recitation of prayers, followed by the cutting of a wedding anniversary cake to symbolise three years of shared life together. Guests then enjoyed a relaxed dinner, reflecting the simplicity and meaningfulness of the occasion.
In their remarks, Tun Pehin Sri Wan Junaidi and Toh Puan Fauziah expressed gratitude for the blessings and happiness they have experienced throughout their marriage.
They also conveyed hopes that love, harmony and unity within the family would continue to flourish.
The event highlighted the couple’s preference for a modest yet heartfelt celebration, focusing on family bonds and togetherness rather than grandeur.
