The couple landed at Skypark Terminal, Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport at 12.45 pm, where they were warmly received by Sarawak Liaison Officer YBrs. Encik Awang Supian Awang Daud, alongside officers from Sarawak House Kuala Lumpur and Astana Sarawak.

Accompanying them were their daughters, Sharifah Fariah with her husband Encik Mohd Syukri, and Sharifah Nong-Jasima with her husband Encik Hakeem, reflecting the family’s close involvement in the official programme.

The Governor’s visit to Kuala Lumpur was scheduled in conjunction with the 24th Convocation Ceremony of Universiti Tun Abdul Razak (UNIRAZAK), held at the World Trade Centre Kuala Lumpur, as well as several other official meetings.

Tun Pehin Sri Wan Junaidi and Toh Puan Fauziah expressed their gratitude upon arrival, offering prayers that all engagements in the capital would proceed smoothly and be blessed. Their presence underscores Sarawak’s strong ties with national institutions and highlights the importance of education and leadership in shaping future generations.

The UNIRAZAK convocation is a significant event, celebrating the achievements of graduates while strengthening collaboration between academic institutions and national leaders. The Governor’s attendance reflects Sarawak’s commitment to supporting higher education and fostering opportunities for young Malaysians.

This official visit also demonstrates the continuing role of Sarawak’s leadership in national affairs, reinforcing the state’s contribution to Malaysia’s broader development agenda.
