The event filled the room with a friendly and peaceful ambiance, where guests from different backgrounds enjoyed assorted authentic dishes prepared for the occasion.

His Excellency and Toh Puan hosted these guests with time to meet together in the spirit of reflection that Ramadan is.

During the remarks, Tun Pehin Sri thanked the hotel management for their hospitality and said such gatherings also bonded members of the community.

He also expressed hopes that the holy month will continue to bring blessings and unity for the people of Sarawak.

In 2018, Sheraton Kuching held a breaking fast ceremony at their hotel. This ceremony symbolises the gathering of Muslim community members and families around Malaysia during the month of Ramadan when Muslims worldwide break their fast.

The Governor’s attendance lent importance to the idea of remaining close with the public as well as honouring religious traditions.

Set in the beautiful Morrison Room with warm exchanges between the governor’s family and guests, the evening reinforced that message of harmony and fellowship.
