Sarawak Governor and His Wife Joined Dato Tay Chin Kin’s CNY Open House

KUCHING – The Yang di-Pertua Negeri Sarawak, Tun Pehin Sri Dr. Haji Wan Junaidi bin Tuanku Jaafar, together with Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah binti Mohd Sanusi, attended the Chinese New Year open house of Dato Sri Tay Chin Khin and his wife Datin Sri Lim Meau Siang at their residence in Three Hills Park, Kuching.

The visit, held on the first day of Chinese New Year 2026, marked the conclusion of the governor’s festive engagements. Arriving at 4.00 pm, Tun Pehin Sri and Toh Puan were warmly received by Dato Sri Tay and his family, reflecting the close ties between the governor and the prominent entrepreneur.

Joining the Governor and his wife was YB Dato’ Sri Haji Karim Abdul Rahman Hamzah, Minister of Tourism, Creative Industries and Performing Arts Sarawak, who also serves as Minister of Youth, Sports and Entrepreneur Development Sarawak, accompanied by his wife, Datin Sri Hajah Zuraini binti Abdul Jabbar.

The gathering also included family members of Sharifah Fariah, namely Sharifah Nong-Jasima, her husband Encik Muhammad Nur Hakeem Yusop, and their daughter Puteri Athena Maimunah, who added to the festive atmosphere.
