KUCHING – Inspector-General of Police Dato’ Sri Mohd Khalid Ismail paid a courtesy visit to Sarawak Governor Tun Pehin Sri Dr. Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar at the Astana Negeri Sarawak on Wednesday.

The meeting, attended by senior police officials including Bukit Aman Special Branch Director Datuk Ibrahim Darus and Sarawak Police Commissioner Dato’ Mancha Ata, focused on key security issues and the welfare of former police personnel.

Discussions encompassed overall security and peace in Sarawak, cybersecurity challenges, and the operational role of the Independent Police Conduct Commission (IPCC).

The Governor also reiterated his support for enhanced recognition and benefits for retired police officers, particularly those who served during the communist insurgency era.
