KUCHING – The Governor of Sarawak, Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar, accompanied by his wife Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah Mohd Sanusi, made a casual stop at Swee Kang Ais Kacang on Jalan Haji Taha, Kuching, on 8 June.
Their daughter, Puan Hajah Sharifah Fariah, also joined them during the visit. The family had earlier toured their private residence at Jalan Green before heading to the popular dessert outlet.
Known for its long-standing reputation among Kuching residents, Swee Kang has been serving traditional favourites such as ais kacang and cendol for decades, making it a well-loved spot for locals and visitors alike.
During the visit, Tun Pehin Sri Wan Junaidi and Toh Puan Fauziah enjoyed the desserts that have become a staple of Sarawak’s food culture.
Ais kacang, with its colourful mix of shaved ice, syrup, and toppings, alongside the rich and refreshing taste of cendol, reflected the enduring appeal of traditional Malaysian treats.
