KUCHING, 13 February – His Excellency the Sarawak Governor, Tun Pehin Sri Dr. Haji Wan Junaidi Bin Tuanku Jaafar, and his wife, Her Excellency Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah Binti Mohd Sanusi, welcomed a delegation from Malaysia’s Ministry of Works (KKR) at the Sarawak State Assembly Hall.

The delegation, led by YB Dato Sri Alexander Nanta Linggi, Minister of Works, arrived at 10:00 am for the courtesy visit. Accompanying him were several high-ranking officials, including YBhg. Dato’ Seri Azman bin Ibrahim, Secretary-General of KKR; YBhg. Dato’ Zainal Alhakab Seman, Deputy Secretary-General (Management); YBhg. Datuk Wira Ir. Roslan bin Ismail, Director-General of Works; YBhg. Dato’ Ir. Sazali bin Harun, Director-General of the Malaysian Highways Authority; and YBrs. Mrs. Zainora Zainal, Chief Executive of the Construction Industry Development Board of Malaysia (CIDB).

The main objective of the visit was to introduce the top leadership team of the Ministry of Works and discuss ongoing and future infrastructure development in Sarawak. The delegation addressed key technical issues and shared insights on improving coordination for the successful implementation of projects across the state.

Tun Pehin Sri Dr. Haji Wan Junaidi expressed his appreciation for the Ministry’s continuous efforts to enhance Sarawak’s infrastructure. He emphasized the importance of timely project delivery for the well-being of Sarawakians. “I hope the Ministry of Works will keep strengthening its initiatives and improving coordination to ensure that development projects in Sarawak run according to schedule,” he said.

Sarawak’s infrastructure development remains a priority, with strategic projects aimed at boosting connectivity and economic growth. The visit underscores the shared commitment between the state and federal government to improve public infrastructure for the benefit of all Sarawakians.
