MIRI – Sarawak is set to welcome the global scientific community as it hosts the 17th International Conference on Materials Processing and Characterisation (ICMPC 2025) from 27 to 29 November 2025 at Imperial Hotel, Miri.

The announcement was made during a press conference at Curtin University Malaysia, attended by Pujut assemblyman and Mayor of Miri, Adam Yii Siew Yang, along with key organisers and stakeholders.

Yii highlighted that hosting ICMPC 2025 aligns with Sarawak’s Post-COVID-19 Development Strategy (PCDS) 2030, particularly in talent development, research, and innovation.
