KUCHING — The Governor of Sarawak, His Excellency Tun Pehin Sri Dr Haji Wan Junaidi bin Tuanku Jaafar, together with Her Excellency Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah binti Mohd. Sanusi, today received a courtesy visit from the Main Committee of the 2025 Sarawak National Day Celebration at the State Astana, Petra Jaya.

The delegation, led by YB Dato Sri Hajah Fatimah Abdullah — Minister of Women, Children and Community Wellbeing of Sarawak and Minister in Charge of the 2025 National Day Celebration — arrived at 10.00 am to present the official invitation for the state’s most anticipated patriotic event.
Also in attendance were YB Datuk Haji Len Talif Salleh and YB Datuk Abdullah bin Haji Saidol, both serving as Deputy Ministers in Charge of the celebration.
This year, the Sarikei Division has been selected as the official host for the celebration. The Governor and Toh Puan have been invited as Guests of Honour for two major events — the Unity Walk and the Sarawak National Day Assembly 2025.

During the meeting, Tun Pehin Sri expressed his appreciation to the Organising Committee for their dedication in ensuring the smooth execution of the celebration. He emphasised the importance of unity, noting that the event should serve as a platform to foster stronger ties among Sarawakians of all backgrounds.
“The Sarawak National Day Celebration is not only a reminder of our shared history but also a time to strengthen the bond of togetherness among our people. I hope this year’s event will further ignite the spirit of unity and love for Sarawak and Malaysia,” said Tun Pehin Sri.
The courtesy visit demonstrated the close collaboration between the state’s leadership and the organising team in preparing for the grand occasion.
