This annual interdenominational church service, known as the Joint Church Service, is part of the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM)’s tradition of honouring their duties through faith, especially for Christian officers and their families. The event was attended by around 500 people, including active officers, retired personnel, and family members.

During the event, Sarawak Police Commissioner CP Dato Mancha anak Ata took the opportunity to present contributions to both St. Peter’s Catholic Church and The Sarawak Cheshire Home, underlining the police force’s commitment to community welfare and spiritual growth. He extended his sincere thanks to the church for its continuous support and cooperation in making the annual program a success.

Also gracing the occasion were several high-ranking police officers and distinguished guests including DCP(R) Dato’ Nyomek Nyeap, SAC(R) Dato’ Clarence Rorote Sagon, SAC Wong Ing Fung (Head of the Sarawak Crime Prevention and Community Safety Department), various IPK Sarawak heads, District Police Chiefs, and other senior officers, junior officers, civil servants, and Christian retired police personnel.

The ceremony showcased the close relationship between the police and the local Christian community, reflecting the importance of faith in service and the spirit of togetherness within PDRM. — Polis Sarawak
