Dato Mancha Bids Farewell at Sarawak Police Commissioners Monthly Gathering

KUCHING – The September edition of the Sarawak Police Commissioners Monthly Gathering, hosted by the Commercial Crime Investigation Department (JSJK) of Sarawak, took place this morning at the Sarawak Police Contingent Headquarters Parade Ground.

The event was attended by Sarawak Police Commissioner, CP Dato Mancha Ata, who in his address highlighted the importance of strengthening the force’s strategic direction, in line with the vision of the Inspector-General of Police.

Dato Mancha stressed the need for transformation in policing, particularly with the integration of technology and Artificial Intelligence (AI) to improve law enforcement capabilities. He also reminded officers of the critical role integrity and professionalism play in maintaining public trust towards the police force.

Marking the occasion as his final gathering as Sarawak Police Commissioner, Dato Mancha expressed deep gratitude for the support and cooperation extended to him throughout his service. He described the gathering as the most meaningful one in his tenure, reflecting on the collective achievements of the Sarawak PDRM contingent.

During the ceremony, he presented Certificates of Appreciation to Sarawak Deputy Commissioner of Police, DCP Saifullizan Ishak, as well as department heads, formation leaders and district police chiefs for their dedication to duty.

In addition, Letters of Appreciation were awarded to nine officers from the Narcotics Criminal Investigation Department for their outstanding performance and commitment.

As part of the programme, Dato Mancha together with DCP Saifullizan and Sarawak Contingent Management Department Head, SAC Rizal Abd Rahman Sidek, took part in a symbolic tree planting ceremony within the Sarawak IPK compound. The initiative, carried out in collaboration with Kuching North City Hall (DBKU), was a gesture to promote environmental sustainability.

The event also saw the attendance of Datin Jennita William, Chairman of PERKEP Sarawak, and Vice Chairman Puan Faisha Isyak, along with senior and junior officers, as well as civil servants of the Sarawak Contingent.
