PUTRAJAYA – Sarawak Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri (Dr) Abang Abdul Rahman Zohari Tun Datuk Abang Openg joined top state and federal leaders at the 146th Meeting of Chief Ministers and Menteri Besar, held at Perdana Putra on Monday.
The high-level meeting, which commenced at 10:00 a.m. and concluded around 12:40 p.m., was chaired by Prime Minister Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim. It provided a vital platform for enhancing coordination and collaboration between the Federal Government and the various State Governments, particularly on shared development strategies and national policy alignment.
Premier Abang Zohari was accompanied by Sarawak State Secretary, Datuk Amar Mohamad Abu Bakar Marzuki, while Sarawak Deputy Premier, Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas, was also in attendance.
According to a statement released via the Prime Minister’s official Facebook page, the meeting was a key effort to align state and national agendas for the benefit of all Malaysians.
“Through this synergy, we can ensure the implementation of the national development agenda runs smoothly, comprehensively, and inclusively for the well-being of the people and the overall progress of Malaysia,” said Dato’ Seri Anwar.
Following the main session, Premier Abang Zohari held a closed-door discussion with the Prime Minister, signalling ongoing dialogue and cooperation on matters concerning Sarawak’s development priorities within the broader national framework.
The meeting is part of regular engagements between federal and state leadership aimed at reinforcing unity, addressing governance challenges, and streamlining development efforts across Malaysia’s diverse regions.
