KUCHING – The Premier of Sarawak, Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri (Dr) Abang Haji Abdul Rahman Zohari bin Tun Datuk Abang Haji Openg, welcomed a courtesy visit from Openmove AI Berhad at the Satria Pertiwi Complex on 24 February 2026.
The meeting centred on exploring opportunities for strategic collaboration between the state government and the local technology firm. Discussions highlighted how Openmove AI Berhad could support Sarawak’s ongoing transformation agenda, particularly in areas of digitalisation and modernisation.
Chairman of Openmove AI Berhad, YM Tengku Tan Sri Dato’ Haji Mohamad Rizam, described the engagement with the Premier as constructive and forward-looking. He noted that the dialogue provided valuable insights and guidance, paving the way for further consultations with relevant government agencies to refine potential areas of cooperation.
Openmove AI Berhad expressed confidence in Sarawak’s position as one of the leading states in administrative transformation. The company emphasised its readiness to contribute expertise in technology and innovation, aligning with the government’s vision of development driven by digital solutions.
The Chairman further highlighted that the initiatives proposed by Openmove AI Berhad are developed by local talent. This, he said, could strengthen Sarawak’s digital ecosystem by nurturing local expertise and ensuring that technological advancements are tailored to the state’s unique needs.
